To me, he's always looked like an actor from the 40s or 50s. Like, sometimes I'll watch an old movie and be struck by the thought that people just looked different back then; I don't really know how to explain it. I always kind of got that sense from his acting, too, especially his voice. That coupled with the fact that the character of Sinclair is such a non-traditional SF TV action male lead really gave the first season a very unique quality; I was struck by it even in the first episode.

Why hello there, Gil Grissom. I miss Gil and Sara. :(
